Need a pump service that works?
National Flow System is located in NSW that can make pumping systems built specifically for your company’s duty point. They also guarantee every pump sold by NFS will be issued a serial number to track the history of your pump. From build details to service history, it’s all recorded with the NFS serial number.
SUBMERSIBLE PUMPS
Submersible pumps involve a submersible motor close coupled to a pump that allows the entire assembly to operated submerged. A key feature is the Submerged motor which is either air-filled or oil-filled and completely sealed. Mechanical seals are used to keep any water from entering the pump motor.
Different impellers are designed to accommodate solids of various sizes making this style of pump used in many applications. Vortex impeller pumps for stormwater and sump pump services. Cutter or grinder impeller submersibles for effluent and sewage services. Ranging in size from products for residential homes to main sewage treatment plants and in other industrial applications such as discharging slurries in mines, civil works, and for dredging.
Fluids that are suitable for submersibles, range from and are not limited to, water and relatively thin liquids, solids such as sewer effluent, slurry sand and aggregates.
Available in cast iron, stainless steel, super duplex and titanium, Submersible Pumps can be installed into the harshest of environments.
END SUCTION PUMPS
End suction pumps are the common type of centrifugal pump. They have a horizontal shaft with overhung impeller. The liquid flow goes in the end of the casing, and out the top.
NFS promoted end suction centrifugal pumps are high efficiency, high performance, and high-quality end-suction pumps. They are available in cast iron and stainless steel for use in water supply, industrial pressure boosting, industrial liquid transfer, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning), commercial pools and irrigation.
These pumps allow our customer to select from either the standard pumps range or have their pumps customised at the time of order. We have many proven options from which customers can choose to meet specific industrial applications. Typical options include alternative shaft seals, motors, materials, colours, and base frames. For applications with variable demand, variable motor speed control is available in direct drive or magnetic drive to enable optimum control of flow and pressure.
Fluid pumped through these include the circulation of clean or dirty liquids, and liquids with low viscosity. When the correct impeller is chosen, an end suction centrifugal pump can pump liquids with or without solids.
BORE HOLE PUMPS
Borehole pumps are a type of submersible centrifugal pump of multistage design which can be submerged at large depths. Large conveying depths are achieved by several impellers arranged in series. They are typically designed to fit in narrow holes called boreholes which are drilled to extract water from water tables or aquifers deep below ground.
Typically, these pumps are used in agriculture and mining inland to source water beneath the ground.
GRACO DIAPHRAGM PUMPS
An air operated diaphragm pump is a type of positive displacement pump that uses compressed air as a power source. Each side of the pump houses two separate diaphragms operating individually, which fill with fluid before being discharged through an outlet manifold.
This design is primarily driven by an air valve located within the pumps central chamber. Their working principle is when a vacuum is created in one diaphragm it causes the balls on the suction side to rise from their seats, allowing fluid to enter the diaphragm, whilst simultaneously causing the balls located close to the discharge manifold to seal against their seats.
Compressed air is shifted from one chamber to the other by a linked shaft that allows the chambers to move simultaneously. The rapid changeover allows for reduced pulsation at the outlet.
The NFS promoted range of double diaphragm pumps come in a wide range of metal and plastic pumps. You can also choose from a wide selection of materials to handle numerous applications, including corrosive and abrasive fluid transfer. Advantages of these are as they are a positive displacement, and capable of operating without fluid or dry run, they can prime up to 8M without issue.
Diaphragm pumps are a versatile product that is used in many applications and industries pumping fluids such as water, oil, waste oil, diesel, acids, foods, and slurry. They can be easily controlled to accommodate high viscosities without risk of failure. They can also be installed in many scenarios. From immersed, to container emptying, under positive suction, for the pumping and mixing of fluids simultaneously such as Part A and Part B glues, paints, and bonding agents either separately or blending. Each membrane pump is thoroughly tested before it leaves the supplier.
Furthermore, pumps can easily be stripped and therefore maintained simply with minimal parts all available from NFS
PROGRESSIVE CAVITY
Progressive cavity pumps are a type of rotary positive displacement pump that has a single-threaded helically shaped rotor turning inside of a double-threaded helically shaped rubber stator. This produces a progressing cavity that moves the liquid through the pump and pressurizes it.
NFS is known for its long history and knowledge of progressive cavity pumps and have supplied these pumps in applications for pumping polymers, dewatered sludge in sewage treatment. Pumping liquids which are viscous or contain solids in industrial plants such as pulp mills, petrochemical, wineries, and chemical plants. For food manufacturing and the pet food industry.
The progressive cavity pumps we promote at NFS are from the world’s leading manufacturers who offer unmatched technology. The pumps operate reliably and with minimal maintenance work. In addition, NFS offer various services for your pump that ensure long-term value, guarantee optimal operation, and minimize life cycle costs.
