Submersible pump in action at a Construction Site

One of the most important pieces of equipment on a construction site is the submersible pump. This type of pump can be placed in water and operated remotely, making it ideal for use in difficult-to-reach places such as water wells.

Dewatering wells are used to lower the water table for large excavation works to be undertaken. Dewatering is the process of removing groundwater which ensures construction work can occur safely. Tsurumi submersible pumps allow foundations and sublevels to be constructed without flooding. The submersible pump is placed in the well and operated to remove water from the surrounding soil. This process can take several hours or days, depending on the size of the well and the amount of water that needs to be removed.

Just recently NFS received an email from one of our clients who has been using our Tsurumi Submersible pumps for their site.

Geoff Bauchop at TQM Design & Construct has this to say:

“The guys removed the pumps from the dewatering wells Friday last week. If I recall we commissioned these pumps back September last year and they have never missed a beat spending their time some 3m below the water table in the spear wells

We put the equipment to hell and back, they never let us down”

Tsurumi NSW by NFS

Construction industries have come to depend on submersible pumps to keep their workers safe and projects on time. In these images, you can see the equipment operated in some dirty conditions and performed without fail. Tsurumi submersible pumps have proven their worth in the construction industry with pumps that last.

Pumps servicing by NFS

Types of pumps used:

LB-480A – Automatic Submersible Pump performs like the non-automatic version in every aspect of construction site usage requiring a tough and durable pump.

HSZ2.4S – The HS-HSZ Series pump design and performance are best suited to specifically meet the needs of civil engineering and the construction market.

KTZE22.2 – Each model can be easily converted between high head and high volume performance with a simple change of impeller, suction cover, and hose coupling.

These submersible pumps will be at NFS Facility for service and checkups to make sure they are in good working condition and ready to be used for another construction project.

NFS is a leading provider of submersible pumps for construction sites. We can service and provide maintenance to any type of pump in NSW and Victoria including spare parts or replacements. Our experienced team can come to your site and have a look at your pump, or you can bring it to our facility to provide check-ups and maintenance to make sure it will work efficiently.
